Working as a wedding photographer in Sorrento has been on my bucket list since I first started! And it did not disappoint! Georgie & Rob’s late afternoon ceremony overlooked the sea and Mount Vesuvius. The sun was still hot! With fans to cool the guests, and some shade from the nearby palm trees. The lovely couple repeated their vows at the beautiful Villa Antiche Mura. Translated in English, it means Ancient Walls Villa. Perched on the clifftop, it also offers those sought after Amalfi Coast views.
The wedding reception featured Italian touches, like limoncello toasts! And also a late night gelato stand! Another highlight was the dramatic cake cutting. Fireworks lit up behind the couple for a special moment. The day was impeccably orchestrated and styled by Sophisticated Weddings. I would highly recommend Victoria if you’re looking for an Amalfi Coast planner!
Georgie wore a stunning gown from Halo And Wren Bridal, and the groom kept it cool with a white shirt and braces.
All my destination wedding packages include an optional shoot outside of the wedding day. This usually involves a couple shoot prior to the main celebration! Or coverage of a rehearsal dinner. Or post-wedding pool party. Georgie and Rob decided to stroll through Sorrento on their pre-wedding shoot. We even managed to persuade one of the private beaches to let us in for photos! After being turned away from two other beaches, it was third time lucky at Marameo Beach Club! Since Georgie and Rob had booked sun-beds for a post wedding beach party, they were very helpful.
Tip for other photographers looking to shoot around Sorrento beaches. Get prior permission! Or find a neighbouring town like Positano where the public can wonder around the beach.
