Emma + Luke opted for a country wedding in the Cotswolds. The day started with a traditional church ceremony at Stanway Church, followed by a reception at Stanway House. A beautiful stately manor house, with the highest gravity fountain in the world! Although the outdoor space and grounds are very elegant, the space provided for the reception is a rustic barn. Which Emma also did a terrific job styling! And as a local photographer it was a pleasure to finally shoot a Stanway House wedding.
The Old Tythe Barn is a blank canvas. The windows are small and few, so it can be dark without proper consideration. Emma & Luke ensured there was a string of naked bulbs running over each banquet table. Potted trees and a central up-cycled bar stood out as statement details. But there was an abundance of thoughtful details throughout. From the naked wedding cake to the wall of photos. To the elegant signage and simple calligraphy.
Emma wore an understated, but also stunningly elegant Sassi Holford wedding dress. With a high neckline but a low back. A wonderful combination! It really complimented their chosen venue.
Later, Kings of Soul took to the stage. One the great features of the barn at Stanway is exactly this… it’s huge stage. Perfect to present live entertainment. The dancefloor area then welcomed Luke & Emma for their first dance. Who were further joined by the rest of the guests! From the moment the band started, the dance-floor was crowded with crazy dance moves and smiling faces.
