I delved into the archives for this one! I am also one of the venues local suppliers, a recommended Dumbleton Hall Wedding Photographer.
Caroline & Steve’s Dumbleton Hall wedding had vintage touches and lawn games. Children’s laughter filled the air. A sunny July day for a country wedding in the Cotswolds.
Anyone who knows me, knows I love quirky. So I was delighted to see Caroline’s beautiful braid dyed silver. And adorned with a huge flower crown! But above all, I admired the DIY touches. The bride also designed incredible centrepieces using classic leather bound books, vintage teapots and flowers. Furthermore Dumbleton Hall makes the perfect backdrop. The wood panelled ceremony room is a traditional, British feature. This suits the theme!
Caroline also surprised Steve with an entertainment duo, Eden. These two girls brought opera to mainstream song choices. They performed renditions of The Greatest showman, Ed Sheeran, as well as more classic opera music. This set the tone for the indoors reception, as the dancing started even before the wedding breakfast!
The lawn games kept children and adults entertained alike! The entire day was well thought out and family oriented. This was clearly important for the couple, as their own two children were present!
To sum up, Caroline and Steve’s vintage country wedding is a great example of a budget wedding (at £13.5k). Moreover their focus on local suppliers and a local venue, as well as DIY, made it an eco-friendly wedding.
Dumbleton Hall is one of my most local wedding venues, as it is a 10 minute drive away! The only wedding venues closer are Sudeley Castle, Postlip Hall and Stanway House. Hence it’s always a pleasure coming here. So if you’re considering a Dumbleton Hall wedding please get in touch.
